4. Mandore Garden- Mandore park is having really a pleasant atmosphere. The garden contains some memorials of king Ajit sing. They are really artistic. 5. Rao Jodha Desert Park– is one of the least known destinations in Jodhpur. Even though it’s closer to Mehrangarh fort, not many people visit it because people are not interested in trail walks in general. The park is private property and maintained by biologists employed by the Mehrangarh fort trust. They explain you lot of things about what to see on trails and the ecology of Thar desert. They have created a dense rain forest inside the park. Sadly there were no walking tours on the day I visited or else it would have been fun with someone explaining the trail instead of reading and understanding through a brochure. Definitely visit this place. If you are told you need to pay to go through the fort to access it, that isn’t true. There is a free road and you pay 100 rupees to enter the park. Well worth a visit. 6. Step Well – Toorji Ka Jhalra –This is a must-see of Jodhpur. Surprisingly enough the area is really clean and not so polluted, there are even fish in the water of the stairwell. The atmosphere is delightful, especially when the sun is low on the horizon and shadows are casted by the walls of the well. you’ll even enjoy just sitting there for an hour in the peace and it’d be better if you go in the evening during the sunset. The whole area seems so quiet and allows a quick escape from the surrounding chaos (even though the street is just few steps from it. You can visit this place especially during the Sunset hour, after climbing around 250 Steps for Beautiful View. You can sit there for hours and see the sunset and the view of the blue city. A place where you can take lots of photographs. You will like the atmosphere and cool blows of breeze. This temple is covered from one side by the old boundary of the fort which stopped invaders but now you can take many good pics from here. 13.Ranisar Talab-This is near to the fort gate and it opens in the morning around 6 am. There is security and it is well maintained. There is a shiva temple inside the campus. This place is in the interiors of the city and is very well kept. How to get here? Please take two-wheelers or (autoriksaw) as this place is narrow to get there by four-wheeler. Very well carved steps almost resembling the stair system in stepwells. This place is picturesque as you have the Mammoth fort on the back drop.
